Paranormality

Paranormality offers a birds-eye glimpse of our paranormal culture, both the laudable attempts to grapple with the reality of paranormal experiences, and the less serious popular appropriations of it.

In Australia, the August 2022 edition of Men’s Health features a excellent interview with Dr. Bruce Greyson, an ER psychiatrist who’s been studying Near Death Experiences (NDE’s) through the lens of medical science since the 1960s (that is, a decade before the term “NDE” was first coined in Raymond Moody’s book, Life After Life, published in 1975). Dr. Greyson discusses his recent book, After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal About Life and Beyond, and what he’s learned about the physiology of NDEs,  and what they can teach us about life.

State side, the superb Netflix miniseries, Surviving Death, is based upon the equally superb research of independent journalist, Leslie Kean, in a recent book by the same title.
